Shot 1 - Walk Cycle against live action backdrop. The last piece of animation that I did for Synaesthesia was a walk cycle which happens at the very beginning of the film. This is the shot in which our character, Alex is introduced, as well as her condition. As you will see, I have animated both the looking over.

In the end, he had to be printed out without the glasses because that was causing problems with his geometry, so they went in and fixed a few problems before they made this printout.
This Industry Exercises movie had to be at least 30 seconds long, so to pad it out, I decided to include a few playblasts which showed the stages from initial blockout, right through to the smoothening out of the poses and the application of the camera movements and gravity. The playblasts that illustrated each stage of the piece are then followed by the final rendered shot. If you would prefer not to sit through 30 seconds of colour bars and a mono.
Im Adobe Premier, I started copying the credits into title stills, which we decided would appear in the Helvetica font. When we were filming the green screen sequence, we did quite a lot of filming of us just mucking around, so we decided that this would look good alongside the credits. I went through this footage in Premier and selected a few clips to go against the credits and then exported that to another sequence. Saturday, 26 March 2011.
